How can I make Matlab sending me an Email?

I would like to receive an Email when the code is finished. I tried using "sendmail" but it didn't work! any help will be appriciated

Could you tell us more detail on how "sendmail" function failed in your code ?

Thank you for your response, I used this: sendmail('my _Email',' Text'), also I tried to add setpref but it didn't work.
