add new row to excel sheet

How to add a new row with a new formatting to an existing excel sheet without changing the formatting for the rest of the sheet?

for example I want to insert a new row , merger all the cell together, and fill the cells with red color, but at same time I don't want to change the formatting for the shifted rows.
