Density 4D plot on a sphere

Hi,
I need to plot density plot on a sphere, I have the following input in spherical coordinates :
[R, theta,phi]=n
R is the radius ( varies from Rn= the sphere radius to some point Re)
Theta is the is the polar angle ( varies from 0 to pi/2 – I have only half a sphere) and
Phi is the azimuthal angle (varies from 0 to 2pi)
For each combination I have a different value of n (the density)
I would like to plot it, what do you think is the best way?
I am guessing I can't plot 4D so let's start with plotting the values for a constant R. How can I do it? I would to see half a sphere with colors indicating the different value of the density. Can it be done?
