Creating a matrix of mxn dimension using different points in a plot graph

In the following plot graph, I need to create a array of m by n dimension with certain in the plot. For example:

 x = 0:0.01:10;
 y = sin(x);
 plot(x,y);

I need to create a matrix which displays

 z = [0.2 0.4 0.6 0.8; 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.8;...].
