Hi, i need help with figuring out how the sift commands work

Why do keep getting this error message "Attempt to execute SCRIPT vl_sift as a function: C:\Users\kelec\Desktop\vlfeat-0.9.21\toolbox\sift\vl_sift.m" anything i run the command?
