When the model did not compile simulink advised me the model was out of date and I should run the upgrade advisor. The upgrade advisor provides me with a write error, see attached screenshot. Any advice on how to resolve this would be appreciated.

I'm sure we can work out what's happening here, but it might take a few rounds of debugging. Can you contact our tech support team and we can progress things from there?

The error is occurring because the Upgrade Advisor cannot create an HTML report. The slprj folder is usually a local, temporary folder that is writeable. Is the slprj folder mentioned writeable?
If I try the model, though, I see some issues with missing data, so it might be a more straightforward issue to fix without needing the full upgrade process. (Defining values for m, M, I, b , g, l in the MATLAB base workspace seems to make the model run).

Yes, the folder is writeable, that's why I'm stumped by this one. Matlab has actually written several other reports to the same folder. I can fix the simple model but for more complex cases I'd still like to be able to run the upgrade advisor if needed. Do you know how I can access and edit its code to change the write options?
Thanks!
