MATLAB licensing policy question

What is MATLAB product licensing policy for academic use? Perpetual licenses or just an annual licenses (and what is the minimum subscription period)? My University is located in Russia.

Both perpetual and limited term are available for academic license. I do not know what the minimum duration is for academic licenses.
