Simulink Desktop Real-Time vs I/O sample rate

Hello, the documentation Simulink Desktop Real-Time says HIL simulation can run in real-time at maximum 20kHz (with Simulink Coder installed), but I wonder what happens using some I/O boards with an higher sampling frequency (e.g. 100kHz). Do I risk to loose some acquiring data ?
