How to determine input delay in a Neural Network (NARX) ?

I have a dataset for 3 years with 1 min intervals. And in this dataset there is solar irradiance and I want to predict the solar irradiance for a specific day. For ex: 15th of January 2017 from 06:00 to 18:00. What should I set as input delay to predict as correct as I can? I am using NARX by the way. Should I keep using it or should I use feedforwardnet? Thanks in advance..
