How to open raw ECG file ECG.HL4

Hello,
I have a raw ECG with the extension .HL4 and its compressed file .RES from norav Holter. I 've tried to open it with the commands fopen and fread as I did to ECG.dat but in ECG.HL4 didn't work. This file has 8 or 10-bit resolution according to its manual. Any idea how to open ECG.HL4?
