can I reuse the same license on another device?

I'm a student of the University of Lausanne. I'm considering buying two to three private licenses for matlab, but before proceeding with the purchase I would have some questions:

in case the computer on which I installed the license should break, can I reuse the same license on another device?

during my project, I will be in possession of more than one tablet that will be connected between each other, through Bluetooth. I wanted to know if I can use the same license for all of them or I have to buy one license for each tablets.

The specifics would depend on the exact license you plan on buying. Moving your license is allowed. Mathworks might impose some limit on the number of times you can move your license from one computer to another, but as far as I know, this is not happening yet.

You can activate a standard MATLAB individual user license on up to 4 different machines, see

Unfortunately, the documentation there doesn't say how many machines a student or home license can be activated on - a question for the sales dept. probably.
