Is there a pdepe version for 3D dynamics + time?

I am using pdepe to simulate heat diffusion through a slab of material. During these simulations one needs the heat capacity of the material, the thermal conductivity, and in my case a dynamic heat source. During the simulations, I realized that I need to account for the heat diffusion in the x and y directions, not only z, and the system is also anisotropic. Is there a pdepe equivalent that can take 2 or 3 spatial variables (x & z or x,y & z) and time, or a way to use pdepe as such?
