Auto-update deployed application - clickonce

Hello all,

Several external parties use a standalone deployed MATLAB application I created (using MATLAB Compiler). I regularly update the application with new functions. Each time, I have to send the updated application to the user, and they must reinstall it manually.

I was wondering if there is a possibility to auto-update a deployed application without the need for Administrator rights? I was thinking of ClickOnce. Anyone has experience with ClickOnce in combination with MATLAB deployed applications? I cannot find anything about ClickOnce in the community.
