How can I get the Simulink model's path by dragging the mouse? I want to know how can I obtain the path, by dragging on the element (which can be input, output or even block function) into the Simulink model.

Hello, I want to know how can I get the path of a simulink variable in order to modify its value. I want to drag and drop an object containing a value onto the input of a simulink block and this input to be set to the contained value of the object ?

What kind of object will it be? If you have an example model, it might help to post a snapshot of it.

I saw a similar question being asked, maybe also by you.
You probably know that if you select a Simulink block, you can get the path of that block by typing gcb in Matlab command window. But you want to get the block path by simply moving the mouse cursor over the block, not necessarily to select the block.
I don't know if there is a readily available function to do that. But it should not be that difficult if some of the Simulink APIs are open. Right now, if you click menu: View->Block Data Tips Options, you can enable some data tips when the mouse cursor is hovering over the block. If that can be done, it won't be hard to get the path of the block, right?
The question is, is this function and its API open to the user?

I saw you accepted the answer. So is it true that the command gcb solved your problem, or you found the API for hovering data tips?

Hello, and sorry for this late, actualy I founded the major answer in your tip, "gcb"
