Convert 8bit binary to a represented image?

I am working on a project and I have to convert some 8bit binary values to an image. Do you have any suggestions how could I do that?

i am not sure if this helps...

if you are looking for a binary image(black and white) then you can covert these binary values to decimal and then display using imshow()...for colour images you will need colour map for RGB values.

Hello,

it is black and white but it has inbetweeen values as well. For example I am not getting only 1111111 and 00000000 but also 01011010 and other gray scale values. Is there any way to represent this?
