Is it possible know the sample time in real-time and use it as a variable?

I have a triggered subsystem and the control signal comes from an interrupt generated from the FPGA board in my dSpace. The problem is that in my subsystem I have some blocks where I can inherit the sample time, but in other parts I have to know the sample time ( because I use it as a variable ). The simulink model is build to generate the code for Controldesk (sdf file). So my question is : Is there a way to know the sample time and use it as a variable in my subsystem?
