receiving error when try to Linearize a single Simscape block (e.g. Engine) from a Simscape Model.

Greetings,

I would like to model a Simscape model. The model is an Engine-based powertrain with ICE+Torque converter+ CVT+Vehicle Body.

Initially tried to find steady-state operating points of the system, then use it to linearize it, and ultimately tune PI for Engine spped control. I could not perform this task successfully.

Now, I intend to linearize each block using "Linear Analysis Tool". But I receive this error. The screenshot of the error is attached to this message.

Would you please explain this error? Thank you.

Do not try this. it's not gonna work if you are dealing with simscape model. use linearization at snapshot, instead.

I did it and tunes PI. It works fine.
