When it is possible it would be by using the Simulink Coder product. However you should also look at Simulink RealTime Desktop product .

The simulink files I needed to convert are not real-time simulaion. So can we convert these models into .exe files?

Please see the following answer. The recommended workflow is to upgrade MATLAB to R2020a or later and use Simulink Compiler:
