My MATLAB keeps freezing and showing this script error

It happened this evening when I was running a simple program applying a high and low pass guassian filter to an image.

12 lines of code.

But it keep freezing for no reason and every time I have to task manager it every time. My computer has no bloatware, enough memory and storage. MATLAB was also working kinda fine till yesterday.

edit: I'm running Matlab 2018b v9.50.0 on a Windows 10 (1803 update) system. I do have documentation open. My default browser is Firefox. Please help me fix this.

where is it showing up?

Are you using MATLAB Online ? Are you using Linux? Do you have the documentation open ?Is your default web browser set to Chrome ? Are you using web() or webread() or webwrite()

It is showing up when I run the

`imfuse`

function. I tested it by running the code line by line and the software gives me trouble only when I run this command. My code (if it matters) is:

Could you attach the two .jpg for testing?

I do not see any instructions in imfuse() that might be relevant. I would tend to associate a difficulty like this more with imshow()

The issue you describe does not show up for me on MacOS High Sierra with MATLAB R2018b.

Reckon I do a clean re-install? That really sucks for me.

It is running and showing output for me.

However, it is possible it is a Windows vs Mac difference. Also possible that it has something to do with a security update from Microsoft.

If you have the documentation open, try closing the documentation.

I came back to my lab in university to run the same code. AND it runs perfectly. Same setup plus th documentation is open too. I really don't understand what is wrong with my laptop.
