How do I speed up simscape/control simulations?

I am running a Simscpae model of a power converter with isolation transformer and output split in two sections. The model runs very very slow. ANd if I bring in more features to model,it will almost go stand-still.

What machine will speed it up significantly?

Hi Robin,

Without the model, it is a bit difficult to diagnose the issue. However, please take a look at the answer Steve Miller gave to a similar question:

Using the solver profiler you'll be able to identify the blocks that are causing the slow simulation. Please take a look at the video link below (also included in Steve's answer):
