How to save a xls file as a mat file?

I used this code to save an excel file as a .mat file in matlab.

num = xlsread('Immunotherapy.xls')
save Immunotherapy.mat num

and before using this code, I copied the xls file in matlab project's folder but the program had this error.

Error using xlsread (line 132)
XLSREAD unable to open file 'Immunotherapy.xls'.
File 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2016a\bin\Immunotherapy.xls' not found.

I'll be grateful to have your opinions.

Hi,

Use imwrite command instead of savecommand.
