daq,getDevice does not detect nidaq device

Hello all, when I use the command >> d = daq.getDevices. I get the following error:

No data acquisition devices available.

I have installed ( and reinstalled) the Data Acquisition Toolbox and the Data Acquisition Toolbox Support Package for National Instruments NI-DAQmx Devices. I have matlab 2017a which I have also updated to the latest version. My nidaq is NI PCI-6703 which is supported. I have searched and none of the suggested solutions have worked. I have run out of things to try besides installing the latest MatLab.

Can you locate and communicate with your DAQ device on a third party software such as NI MAX? Also, can you try running the following command in MATLAB and attaching the output text file (daqtest.txt)?
