I am using Matlab Compiler to generate a standalone of my GUIDE application.
Is in somehow possible to add information like Description, Product name or Version to the exe file that show up in the file's property window in Windows 7?
Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that you would need a similar resource-file based mechanism to add such information to an executable as well.

Thanks!
It is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately at the end it says "Note: The inclusion of resource files when compiling COM objects, or using DEPLOYTOOL in MATLAB is not currently supported." Since I am compiling my project via GUI/DEPLOYTOOL - can I create the standalone using MCC on the command line with a .prj file or do I have to include all required includes/options on the command line manually?

I couldn't find anything to that effect in the documentation. The best case is to try using the deploytool command-line utility, but I don't know if that will accept resource files. I would recommend checking with MathWorks Tech Support to be sure. Worst case, you could let deploytool run once in verbose mode, and copy the mcc command that it executes. You could then put it into a script with the added resource file. (That way, you won't have to chase down all the dependencies again manually).
