matlab drive connector not working mac

I am running Mac OS X V10.14.4 (Mojave). Matlab drive connector had issues connecting last week, and now it seems to not even attempt to connect to Matlab Drive. Multiple restarts of my computer have yielded no improvements. What steps can I take to troubleshoot. Note that the connection symbol on the attached screenshot is black and the popup is blank. It used to try to connect. We do not have an internet proxy running. It works fine on my other computer.
