Finger Vein Recognition System

Can any finger vein recognition expert explain the miura_match funtion to me? http://www.mathworks.nl/matlabcentral/fileexchange/35716-miura-et-al-vein-extraction-methods/content/miura_match.m I found this paper http://www.cse.unr.edu/~bebis/CS790Q/PaperPresentations/vein.pdf, but i still not cleary understand. What does Cw and Ch used for? and what does mi represent to?

Rarely, if ever, do we try to understand a lengthy and complicated m-file or paper and try to explain it to people. Sorry but most people don't have that much time to devote to helping you understand an algorithm - at least I don't. You could do that just as well as we can. Did you ask the author?
