How do I pass Arduino Object in Multi-window App?

Hello,

I'm using app designer and arduino uno and my app has more than one window.

I can connect an arduino to matlab in one app, my question is how do I use the same arduino in all windows of the app without having to re-connect to it in each window?

would making the arduino object variable a public property help? if it does, how would I summon it in the second app (window).
