R2019b Mojave does not start

I have a fresh installation of Matlab R2019b on macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6.
Installation worked and finished. However, when I start Matlab, nothing seems to happen. No splash screen apears, no window appears, no Matlab.

You might need to back up to R2019a, which seems to have no problems on Mojave.

Yes, I found a solution:
I tried 2019a, this worked fine. The problem was that the network-license-server had not been updated to R2019b. So it was (again) a license problem.

Same problem. Mac OS. I get all the way to the Matab desktop and beyond the "Initializing" message. The first attempt to move the cursor to the command window leads to spinning beachball. I have to force quit Malab after that. I've tried reinstalling R2019b and activating with different licenses (headcount and individual) all with same result. R2019a continues to work fine.

Same problem as Robert with R2019b on Mojave 10.14.6. Command window perma-beachball after splash startup. This occurs with both the orignal R2019b and Update 1. R2019a works fine. C'mon, Mathworks, get it together.

For installation and startup issues, Mathworks support is always available regardless of your license. So I recommend you contact them directly, particularly if it's urgent.
