R2019a under Win 10 has delay in initial figure display

Hi,

when I select a newly-created, docked figure for viewing in R2019a, Win10, there is a considerable delay (feels like >1 s per figure) before the figure is displayed. Once the figure has been displayed, there is no perceptible delay when I focus it a second time.

I don't remember this behaviour from older versions (R2017 and older).

This is my current startup.m:

set(groot, 'defaultFigureWindowStyle', 'docked')

set(groot, 'defaultFigurePaperOrientation', 'landscape')

set(groot, 'defaultFigureColormap', jet)

set(groot, 'defaultFigureColor', 'w')

set(groot, 'defaultFigureCreateFcn', @(fig,~)addToolbarExplorationButtons(fig))

set(groot, 'defaultAxesCreateFcn', @(ax,~)set(ax.Toolbar, 'Visible', 'off'))

Disabling the last two rows didn't make a difference.

I used disableDefaultInteractivity(ax_handle) on all the axes in the figure, but that didn't help either.

This really cramps my style, thanks for any ideas on this,
