p.s. what to do when mupad gets all Not connected on me when I enter something? Idk if something is running and it's busy or.....
p.s. I am unable to paste images into here directly does anyone know why?

Images dragged into here are attached.
Images "copied" and "pasted" unfortunately only result in the file name being copied in.

Black text sometimes shows up in MuPAD notebooks when you paste into an area that MuPAD is treating as raw character input rather than as an executable text input. In your context it is usually a glitch with tiny margins between "start of an input area" and a nested "start of an executable command input area".
All you can do is delete what you had and paste again, possibly after asking to Insert -> Calculation .
I have not observed the "Not connected" so I do not have any advice about that.

Question: how did you end up with the font set to Generic Sans Serif? The default is Generic Serif.
