How to implement an IIR equalizer

1. Create an IIR equalizer filter with bn coefficients set to [1] and the an coefficients set to the values of the channel’s bn coefficients used in part D. That is an_eq = bn from above and bn_eq = 1
I have derived an_eq and bn_eq and initialized it, I dont understand how to implement the IIR equalizer now.
% PART E
an_eq = bn;
bn_eq = 1;
Any help is appreciated.
