How to Activate a Solenoid Valve using a Push Button

Hi,

How can I create a push button to allow on/off of my solenoid valve?

I am really stuck and do not know how to start.

Can somebody help me?

Must I use Stateflow for this ?

I use USB devices from Measurement Computing to do things like detect push button switch closures. When my user pushes the button, I detect it and tell the camera to snap a picture, but I could just as easily tell it to talk to a solenoid, LED, or any other kind of device.
