R2019b Apps Designer UITable corrupts file

Hi,

when creating an application in Matlab R2019b App Designer, putting UITable object into GridLayout corrupts mlapp file. When opening the app, App Designer says: "Unable to open <file.mlapp> because it is corrupt, or has an unrecoverable issue". Using R2019a works fine. Is there any workaround to fix this?

The issue you are seeing may be caused by a bug in App Designer. In R2019b, apps with a UITable inside a GridLayout would not open. This bug has been fixed in R2019b Update 1. As you mentioned, the app will still load in R2019a as well. Please see this EBR for more info: https://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/details/2066232

If possible, update MATLAB to R2019b Update 1, or keep using R2019a. If none of these options work, please contact technical support with your app for more assistance.
