can I increase the accuracy of my numbers by digits

I am working with very small numbers. can I use digits to increase the accuracy? for example can I put digits=300 to get better result?

Not in base MATLAB, but here is a submission in the File Exchange, from a very reliable user, that sounds like it will do what you want:
