how to speed up the simulation execution time

I am simulating battery charging circuit using flyback converter with 40khz pulse. My simulation time for 1 sec is taking around 3-4 min I want to execute atleast for 8min so can any one help me how should i proceed without getting any error.

No can you please clarify the sample time i can choose that can reduce my execution time what do you prefer continuous or discrete mode operation..
