What's the best approach as far as tools packages for a program involving a city map?

Hi there,

I need to plot a series of points on a city map, specifically on the city of Barcelona. Those dots represent cellphone base stations. I also need to plot other dots that represent datacenters. With the location of all those dots I need to process distances between them.

What would be the best approach as far as tools packages? I've been reading about mapping tools, but not sure if I'll be able to do what I've explained above.

I could do it over a standar coordenate axis, but I think that doing it over a real map with real distances would simulate better what I'm trying to achieve.

Hi,

I am assuming that you just want to find strainght line path between the two points.

You can use the Mapping Toolbox for the same. You can use this link to find the shortest path between the two points.

You can also use Graph for the same and use graph algorithms for the same.
