Hello all,
I've got MATLAB 2019b on my Ubuntu 18.04 x64. I try to use Simulink. And some times I've got ugly bug: I can't click to the toolbar's buttons. What it's mean:
  1. Run Simulink
  2. Load model
  3. Start working - change design, run simulation and so on
  4. After random time interval/pressing random buttons main toolbar (SIMULATION tab, for example) stop working.
I try to run simulation by RUN button. Toolbars is correct and I see a "press" animations, but after clicking to any buttons doing nothing. However, if I press CTRL+T model will start.
I can't find mentions of this problem in Google.
Could you help me?
Thanks!

Same problem here. I tried https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/323926-menu-bar-missing-in-simulink , and then the simulink works fine. Yet after a number of run the problem gets back.

So, basically, I've fixed it. The exactly configuration is next:
Ubuntu 20.04.1
MATLAB R2020b + Update1
Before installation I removed all pieces of previous MATLAB versions from my computer. And main feature: you should install MATLAB to the same disk, where is your system (root) is placed.
In my case it is "/opt/MATLAB/", where is "/opt" on the same SSD as and root system.
Actually I've test it in few hours and this config looks OK. Your experience very welcome, guys)

MATLAB R2020b + Update1 on Ubuntu 18.04.5 is also OK. I tried for a few hours and everything seems right for now. I think MATLAB R2020b + Update1 combination solved the porblem.

Have you make installation at the same drives as your system? Or at the separate drives?

Update:
I took 2020a and see almost the same problem (see pic.):
As you can see - there is no toolbar. But all hotkeys work fine.

I have also encountered this problem. I see that the problem that exists in the 2019b version is not addressed. The solution provided with rehash made the toolbar appear, but it didn't always fix the problem. The problem of toolbars not working after a random time is in the middle like a log. Apparently, the use of Ubuntu as an OS is not sufficiently tested.
