How to change the displayed axis ticks with self-defined values

Here is an image diplayed wih the function imagesc. The x and y axises are consistent with the image size, but I want to replace the ticks with some self-defined values that are phyiscally meaningful. For x axis ticks, they should be within linspace(0,1). How can I make such changes?
