Will the 2020a home edition work with a raspberry pi 4?

I've installed the raspberry pi 4 support package on my 2020a home license, whereby I can successfully ping the raspberry pi but I consistently fail to establish an ssh connection to the raspberry pi. Has anyone succeeded in interfacing a raspberry pi 4 to the 2020a home license? if so, I'll keep trying to setup passwordless ssh between my Windows 10 machine and this pi. Just curious if the home license can do this. Thanks, and Best Regards, -Dave Kyle

The raspberry pi 4 B is supported as of R2020a for MATLAB but not yet for Simulink.
There are no differences in support between the various license types.
The differences between the Home license and other license types are:
  • some toolboxes are not available
  • maximum 1000 blocks for Simulink
  • watermarks on some of reports
  • different prompt and title bar for application
  • different license conditions
The Simulink block restriction is the only functional difference. There is nothing in the Raspberry Pi support that tests about Home license.

Hello Prasanth,
Thanks for the information re. the time it may take MATLAB to see my Pi. I'll now try again.

Hi David,
If you are still facing any issues in establishing a SSH connection, please feel free to contact MathWorks Technical Support with detailed information.

Hi David,
To clarify, Raspberry Pi 4B is supported for both MATLAB & Simulink from R2020a.
Coming to the SSH issue, I hope you have done the Hardware Setup process and loaded the MathWorks image to SD Card. In the setup process, after you insert the SD Card back in the Pi, power it up and click the next button, MATLAB tries to do the SSH and other needed checks for the newly booted pi.
It is possible that the raspberry pi 4b with buster image could take a little longer(3-4min) to boot for the first time. Although ping works, SSH could fail till it boots up fully. If possible, I would suggest, connect a monitor once during boot time to see if things are normal.
Thanks,
Prasanth
