Can't change matlab priority in windows

I need to use matlab in Realtime, but when I go to the task manager and try to change it, its givimg me an error:
Unable to set Realtime priority. The priority was set to High instead...
I tried to do so with other application, the result is the absolutly the same...
I am using Windows 7 Home Edition(retail)

I think RTW handle setting higher priority to your application.What we need is that your model runs with higher priority (not the RTW). Have you tried to build your model and connect it to the target, what kind of error did you get?

oh... I fix it, just forgot that win7 needs admin rights for everything....
I am trying to build something with Arduino, but matlab some times slows down, because its has not enough priority level ... So I need a RealTime priority level but I see almost no change, yea its faster but not enough ... If my machine make mistake, because its slows down its gonna be desaster...
Any idea how to make it faster ?
I am trying to follow the speed of a brushless motor trugh Serial Communication from arduino + the sensors buts its like not enoigh faster...
If I do it under Linux is there gonna be any changes ?

To make it faster, more money!
  • pc with more memory and speed
  • don't work under windows or any OS, use for example Xpc target toolbox.
with rtw you are limited in speed.
what is your sample time?

My PC has 8 GB of RAM, i7 intel Core
The PC is very good
