Mac OSX 10.8.2 When I try:
>> syms x y
I get the following error:

How can I fix this?

A similar report I find about that error message for QtWebKit turned out to be due to the toolkit binary having been improperly copied to the Mac from a remote system.
I suggest trying re-installing. No promises.
