Backward Compatibility issue for app designer MATLAB 2020a to 2018a

I have created application in app designer with MATLAB R2020a version.

There is error while opening this version in R2018a-> Error Defining Property 'GridLayout' of class xyz.

I tried option of save copy as *.mlapp file as R2017b type-> but got error message "The app contains features that are not supported by 2017b-> can only be edited by R2019a or later"

2 Questions:

1. Is there any way to edit this app in 2018a?
2. can it be run/used in 2018a by installing it(without editing in 2018a)?

In App Designer 2020 go to 'Save' > 'Save Copy As' and choose the 2017b compatible file format.
