How can I execute a single line in the editor/debugger?

Highlighting and hitting F9 does not work on my iMac keyboard. I run version 2020a.

Highlighting is another time taking step, would have preferred if matlab could enable something shortcut to perform this task without making highlight.

On mac the default shortcut is: Shift + fn + F7

You can change the key combination. Open preferences, from toolbar or run

preferences

and then go to keyboard > Shortcuts and search for "Evaluate selection".
