Update GUI text box from SimuLink output

Hi,

I have a GUI with start and stop push buttons that run a simulink model. I would like to update a edit text box with the output of the simulink model. I can update the text box from the work space however this will only update after the simulion is complete. I need the GUI to update in synchronous time with the simulink model.. any ideas??
