Every time I use the colormap editor, the display window increases in size and cannot be resized to be smaller. Eventualy the controls will dissappear off the bottom of the screen and I cannot move the window to access them. I have to restart Matlab to use the colormap editor again. I cannot find any reference to this bug, does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

This seems to be a known issue with the old Java colormap editor.
A fix for the same is currently being worked upon and will be available in the future release.
Thanks.

Has this problem been solved yet?
I had my latest update recently and the problem still seems to be present.
Your answer is from September and the problem still exists. That is not satisfying. For me it's annoying. Since I have to work frequently with false color images where I have to adjust the colors manually, I spent too much time on restarting Matlab and hoping for a colormap window I can work with!

This is not fixed, at least for MATLAB 2020a.
