The "Analog Input" block has timed out while trying to synchronize to real-time kernel

Hi,
we are working with NI hardware for analog I/O and everything worked fine, when we run in real-time normal mode.
For some unknown reason several of the computers have started to fail with the following error message: " The "Analog Input" block has timed out while trying to synchronize to real-time kernel "
We can not find any information on this problem. When using the NI tests and diagnostics, the hardware works fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks Wolfgang

This is likely because the real-time kernel runs at slower rate than it should or has not started at all. The most frequent cause of this behavior is aggressive power saving, so please first look for power saving options and choose maximum performance, especially for CPU. Sometimes, it is necessary to go to BIOS settings and disable EIST or C1E. These are CPU power saving methods and "disabling" means "setting to maximum performance, no power saving".
If this does not help, you should probably go to tech support.

Thanks, I will check/try this. The weird thing is that we have 12 identical workstations and only some of them show this behaviour. Since they are centrally administrated, they have an indentical installation as well.
