Getting the datatype of a signal from simulink

I am trying to get the datatype of enumerated signal from the model programmatically, so that I can set its default value to one of the enumerations. If I do Format> Port/Signal Displays> Port Data types , we can see the datatype. But I want to find them with a script.

hey, do you know how to close the model beacuse I get the error ...cannot close the model as it is being compiled or simulation is running
