I have an expression of the form
TL_theta =
I would like to express the previous equation in a form where the numerator and denominator have opposite signs as shown. In other words extract or multiply by (-1/-1).
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Aider,
The symbolic math toolbox does some manipulations internally and carries out the simplification to convert the expression that is best suited for it to proceed for further calculations but it'll provide the correct results to the calculations that it is supposed to do. Eventually it'll cancel out the negative signs from the expression internally.
Please refer to the below discussion on the same lines:

Good tracking, Pranav Verma; I think that is still the most complete examination of the matter that I have seen anywhere.
