Dear all,
In the latest version of MATLAB Simulink (2020a), the interactive Control System Designer app does not work for MIMO system. It breaks the example and the video example. When selecting the MIMO decoupler in the architecture configuration, the error reports: "The model for 'rct_distillation_DM' must be single input, single output."
Also, in the Help page, it states that only SISO blocks are accepted for tuning.
At this moment, the only working MIMO example is https://www.mathworks.com/help/control/ug/decoupling-controller-for-a-distillation-column.html
I would like to ask whether this change is intended? Is there any alternative way to perform the interactive tuning as demonstrated in the example and the video example?
Thanks

I understand that you want to tune a MIMO system using the Control System Designer app. However, as you can find in the Control System Designer, in the description part, the Control System Designer app only lets you design single-input, single-output (SISO) controllers for feedback systems modeled in MATLAB or Simulink.
To tune MIMO systems as shown in example , you can use the Control System Tuner app.

Thanks for the response. In the example you referred to, I actually could not use the user interface app to tune because of the error in the original post. Could you confirm this?

Yes as error message suggest : model must be single input and single output.
