load figure the same size it was saved

Hi, here is my problem: I use the the property editor for figures a lot (add, move text, resize axes/figure ...). Then, I save the figure as *.fig file for later editing and *.emf file to include in a word document. The .emf file displays exactly wat appears on my screen, which is what I want. When I reopen the .fig file, it is opened the size of the last figure i edited, not the size i saved it once. It is pretty annoying because every time i would like to change something in the .fig file, i need to do a lot of resizing, before i can save the .emf file again. I'd appreciate a solution that simply opens a .fig file the same size i saved it once. Or do you have any ideas for a different workaround?
