Corrupted Script recovery problem

I was working on MATLAB last night and I started running slowly so I decided I'd shut it down and work on it later. Opened MATLAB up again today and tried to run one of my scripts to find.

FindPathChanges was one of the scripts I was working on last night but is not related to the script I was trying to run today. Can I recover any part of the corrupted script.

Do you store backups?

No, but I just purchased an external harddrive 10 minutes ago so I will from now on. It's not a huge problem, I just rewrote most of the code but it still needs a little tweaking.
